The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has said that the Nigerian federation should be looked at with the aim of having a nation where equity and fairness would be the guiding principle.

National President of PFN, Dr Felix Omobude, made the call in Akure, Ondo State while briefing journalists shortly after a fire conference organised by the state chapter of the body held at the International Culture and Event Centre, The Dome.

While calling on Nigerians to embrace peace and avoid any act that could threaten the unity and peace of the country, Omobude cautioned those beating the drums of war and division in the country to have a rethink, describing war as an ill wind that blows no one any good.

According to the PFN president, war, acrimony and hate will not do Nigeria any good, hence the need for peaceful co-existence among the various ethnic groups in the country.

“The PFN believes that we are stronger together. Those calling for war and division must have a rethink. Nigeria cannot afford to go into another civil war,

“The scars of the last civil is still with us. So acrimony and hate speeches would not do us any good,” Omobude said.
