The Canon Residentiary of the Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral (AVMCC), Ikeja, Lagos, The Ven. Festus Olowosile, has reminded Christians of the centrality of love.
The clergy stated this in his sermon titled, The Preeminence of Love, at the Anglican Church on Sunday.
Citing the ultimate proof of God’s love which is evident in Christ Jesus, Olowosile called on the congregation to exemplify this by living a sacrificial life.
Quoting from 1 John 4:20, he stated that it was impossible to love God who one does not see while hating a brother or sister who one can see.
The AVMCC cleric admonished them to be givers, kind, merciful and gracious to all they come across, both friends and strangers.
