Roman Catholics to Protest Herdsmen Killings

Roman Catholics will on Tuesday (today) engaged a nationwide protest against the wildspread killings by supposed fulani herdsmen.

This is sequel to a directive of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria that the faithful should protest the killings by herdsmen across the country, especially those of two Reverend Fathers and 17 worshippers who were observing early morning mass in Benue State when they were attacked.

Requiem masses were held for the protests, Felix Tyolaha and Joseph Gor, popularly called Joe Gor, across parishes in Benue State on Monday.

In Lagos, the protest which will hold between 12pm and 4pm will begin with a procession from St. Leo’s Catholic Church on Toyin Street in Ikeja, to the seat of the Lagos State Government in Alausa.

Owing to this, huge traffic is envisaged in the area.
