OBA TO CELEBRATE 50 YEARS WITH REEMERGENCE CONCERT; SETS TO HOST ONOS ARIYO, SOLA ALLYSON, NOSA. One of the most distinct and unique Nigerian voices is that of sensational
worshipper and one of RCCG’s leading talents, Bamike Oba. Her indigenous eulogy of God coupled with her divine rendition of chants are one of the reasons why she is regarded as one of the favourite when it comes to praising and exalting God. Where her words stop is where her chants kick off.
Since the release of debut album Simply Divine, which was dropped about two decades ago, Oba has been one of the forefront leaders of the Redeemed Christian Church of God alongside other A Listed artiste. While Oba has been into the industry for several years, her collaboration with Award winning singer, Nathaniel Bassey on Olorun Agbaye seems to be one of those songs that took her music to another level. She has ministered on several stages alongside other numerous renowned artistes.
On the 10th of December 2022, the chant minstrel will be leading other team of worship leaders as she shows her gratitude to God for reaching the 50th milestone with a Live Recording Concert titled Re-Emergence Concert. In her statement in which she tagged a Journey into the Now, The New and The Next, she said “The reemergence is a prophetic announcement been declared over not OBA ,but many who have been in “holding patterns” There was a 10 year gap pattern with my music work, But Abba announced that it was intentional ,and now a reemergence is unfolding ,a rebirth, release, return, reawakening ,restoration and most importantly Reward.”
There has often been a ten years difference pattern between the release of Oba’s projects from when she kicked off. She made her debut with Simply Divine in 2002, an album which comprises of several beautiful singles including a song for Nigeria titled Ilu Mi Nigeria. Her sophomore album will not be coming until ten years after with the title “Akoda” meaning the first born, a project which also had Nathaniel Bassey on it and had singles such as were were and akoda.
The reemergence is set to come in another decade after with a live recording which also marks the 50th birthday of the singer. The concert will be hosting a quarter of singers including Onos Ariyo, Sola Allyson, Fisayo Odebode and Nosa. The event will be taking place on the 10th of December at The Providence
