Church Organises Boot Camp For Youths

The Young Professionals Boot Camp (YPB), a 5-day in-residence program for high potential Nigerian youths aged 20-25 years is currently calling for application to the 2018 edition.

According to the Guardian, the boot camp which is scheduled to hold from 5 to 9 September 2018 features world-class leadership and enterprise training designed to inspire innovation, drive success in the marketplace and ultimately lead to the transformation of the Nigerian economy.

The YPB is an initiative of The Platform Nigeria, powered by Covenant Christian Centre. Participants of the 2018 edition (the third since its inception in 2016) will get the opportunity to learn from top business leaders; acquire practical training in three key areas – entrepreneurship, corporate career and creative media – get opportunities for internships and business advisory; interact with other young leaders from across Nigeria and compete for seed funding for their business ideas.

Notable speakers from the past editions of the YPB include Mrs. Ibukun Awosika (Chairman First Bank of Nigeria and Founder, The Chair Centre), Mrs. Omobola Johnson (Former Minister of Communication and Technology), Mr. Okechukwu Enelema (Minister of Industry Trade and Investment), Mr. Steve Babaeko (Founder X3M Ideas), Mr. Obinnia Abajue (CEO Hygeia HMO), Tomi Adepoju (Partner KPMG) and Mr. Seun Okinbaloye (Political Correspondent, Channels TV).

The YPB has also played host to Mrs Ndidi Nwuneli (Founder of LEAP Africa), Mr Segun Ogunsanya (MD of Airtel Nigeria), Mr Chika Nwobi (Founder of L5Lab) and Mr Elo Umeh (CEO of Terragon Group).
