An Interdenominational Church Service was on Sunday held at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, to mark Nigeria’s 58th Independence Day.
Some dignitaries at the service included Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Walter Onnoghen, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha and the former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon.
Bible readings were taken by Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Onnoghen and the former Head of State, Gen. Gowon, while Pastor Williams Kumuyi of Deeper Life delivered the message.
It will be recalled that Nigeria gained her independence from the British colonial masters on October 1, 1960 and became a republic two years later.
