An upcoming gospel artiste, Mr Johnny Wright, has urged Nigerians to promote unity and shun hate speeches and other vices that can stir up crisis in the country.
He made the call on Sunday, while performing at his `Prayer for Naija Concert’ in Abuja.
Wright urged Nigerians to imbibe Godly virtues and chart positive means of enhancing the nation’s growth rather than stirring up conflicts.
“As the name of the concert implies, everyone needs to say a prayer for Nigeria every day, say the truth, stop random killings and hate speeches.
“We condemn random killings and hate speeches totally, so, we all need to pray for the unity of the country,’’ he said.
He urged Nigerian youths to imbibe positive traits that would move the nation forward.
“Nigerian youths are the epitome of greatness and I believe that the youth should learn the right things to be poised for success.
“So, my advice is that Nigerian youths define their stand in terms of moral soundness, and all such things that make us who we are because we hold the future.
“We have to do the right thing and get it right; even if our leaders go the wrong way, we should not follow them, but define our own path in a positive direction,’’ he said.
