Texas Pastor Speaks After Horrific Shooting
The Texas Pastor whose Church that was subject to a horrific mass shooting at the weekend has spoken out for the first time, offering a message of hope in the most horrendous circumstances. His 14-year-old daughter was killed in the massacre.
“I don’t understand, but I know my God does,” Frank Pomeroy, pastor of Sutherland Springs, told reporters. “The news media have been bombarding us with requests to share and comment. But we don’t want to overshadow all the other lives lost yesterday” Pomeroy’s wife Sherri added.
“One thing that gives me a sliver of encouragement is that fact that Bell was surrounded yesterday by her Church family that she loved fiercely, and vice versa.”
Our Church was not comprised of members or parishioners. We were a very close family. We ate together, we laughed together, we cried together, and we worshipped together. Now, most of our Church family is gone, our building is probably beyond repair, and the few of us that are left behind, lost tragically yesterday.”
“Please don’t forget Sutherland Springs.”
“Everything is in Christ,” Frank added.
