Thousands at Experience 12 Declare Jesus King
Hundreds of thousands of worshippers on Friday, December 1, converged at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Onikan, Lagos to declare Jesus King at the Experience 12.
The event which was the 12th edition of the annual praise concert organized by the House on the Rock made its debut in 2006.
As early as 10am on Friday, worshippers comprising various ethnic groups and denominations from different parts of the nation and world began trooping into the venue for the concert scheduled for 7pm.
Various worship leaders and gospel artists, home and abroad, led as hearts were lifted up to God in praise.
The RCCG Choir, Beejay Sax, Onos, Micah Stampley, Tim Godfrey and the Midnight Crew were among others who ministered. Others included Chioma Jesus, Frank Edwards, the legendary Don Moen, Travis Greene, Nathaniel Bassey, Donnie McClurkin and Tope Alabi.
Address the crowd at the event which was also televised and streamed online, the convener and Senior Pastor House on the Rock, Paul Adefarasin, reminded the people that Jesus is a King who never abandons His own. He pointed out that with the King of Kings there is always hope of restoration.
Dignitaries at the event included ministers and government officials included the governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwumi Ambode, Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Sam Adeyemi and his wife, Nike, Bishop of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission, Mike Okonkwo, Jimi Agbaje and Wife, immediate past first lady of Lagos state, Mrs. Abimbola Fashola, among others.
Prayers were offered for the peace and prosperity of Nigeria.
Experience 12 was indeed a night of praise, worship and open heavens.
Jesus is our King!
