Arekion Tasks Christians On Technology Use
Dr. Glenn Arekion, has tasked Christians on maximizing technology in advancing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Evangelist from Kentucky, United States of America observed that today’s Christians are way behind in their zeal for winning souls unlike the early Christians.
“We are living in the 21st century but we are doing less than those who lived in the 20th century who had less technology yet took the gospel around the world.
“The passion for souls is not a intense as it used to be, there are a lot of believers not serving the Lord that is why we have the foolish discussion about tithe,” he stated during a briefing on the forth Lagos Excel Convention, holding Thursday May 24 to Saturday, May 26.
According to him, a true church should be winning souls for God and setting people on fire for God. He further urged Nigerians to be of good cheer and not to lose hope even as they are faced with the fierceness of insecurity, economic instability, political unrest and other challenges.
“The people here are full of hope, they should never lose faith because God has brought them this far. I was first here in the 90s and what Nigeria is in the 90s, and what it is now, I mean there is a lot of progress, good things have happened, it may not be as fast as you want it to happen but things can only get better in Nigeria. So, do not lose faith, do not lose hope for Nigeria will experience great things in the economy and in every area of life,” he said.
On his choice to hold the Excel Convention in Lagos, he said, “I am a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ from America, I have been here in Nigeria over 100 times preaching. But this is my first Excel convention in Nigeria that will be held in Lagos. Lagos is one of my favourite places in the world, I find the people very warm and receptive and on fire for God, to me Lagos is a perfect place.”
