General Overseer, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Reformation Land (Ile Atunse), Olunloyo Akanran Road, Ibadan, Nigeria, Prophet Timothy Abass Arabambi has called on the President Muhammadu Buhari’s led government to address the economic hardship in the Nation.
Arabambi, in a statement made available to the Independent expressed that the average man on the street is touchy due to hunger, as many go daily on empty stomachs.
“The rich are groaning, how much more the poor who are becoming poorer daily? Living in Nigeria in the last few months, has become rough and tough, as many states of the federation owe their workers between five to ten months salary arrears.
“Many heads of families have been incapacitated because of the high cost of living, as many breadwinners have no financial ability to ‘win bread’ again, thus, government across boards need to wake up and address these issues. There is urgent need to make jobs available,” he said.
The cleric added that, it is sad that President Muhammadu Buhari, who has repeatedly said that he was aware that Nigerians are suffering, seems “not to be doing anything to assuage their suffering.”
He thereby called on Christians and other Nigerians not to give in the face of the economic hardship nor despair, as God is in control of the situation. He further stated that God cannot fail those who totally put their trust in Him for intervention and deliverance.
