Killers of Missionary Ian Squire Arrested
The killers of a British Christian Missionary, Ian Squire, have been arrested, sources said.
Dr. Ian Squire was a British volunteer who was kidnapped with three others by the hoodlums, but was killed while the others were freed.
While one of them was shot dead during a crossfire with operatives of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team, two others were arrested.
According to information available to The Eagle Online, two of the gang members were first arrested by the operatives of the IRT, led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Abba Kyari, in Warri, Delta State.
They subsequently led the police to Sapele, a city in Delta State, where the other members of the gang were.
One of the kidnappers who tried to escape during the Sapele raid was killed in the process.
The three other missionaries who were kidnapped alongside Dr. Squire, have returned to their families.
