The Supreme Court of Pakistan is set to announce its final verdict regarding Asia Bibi’s appeal today, October 31.
Asia Bibi is a Pakistani Christian woman who was sentenced to death for allegedly committing blasphemy against the founder of Islam, Muhammad.
She has been on death row since her conviction under Pakistan’s blasphemy laws in 2010.
Earlier this month, a three-judge bench, led by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel, heard final arguments on Bibi’s appeal.
Protesters also gathered across Pakistan to demand her release.
