Reinhard Bonnke Arrives Lagos Ahead of Farewell Crusade

Reinhard Bonnke Arrives Lagos Ahead of Farewell Crusade

Renowned international evangelist, Reinhard Bonnke, has arrived Lagos, Nigeria ahead of his farewell crusade scheduled to kickoff on Wednesday.

Shortly after his arrival on Monday, the German evangelist addressed a news conference at the Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, during which he promised a mighty revival and outpouring of God power.

Describing Nigeria as his favourite nation in Africa, Bonnke said he had no regrets for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in Africa for 50 years now.

According to the Evangelist, “God’s words will be preached, miracles will be full and the Holy Spirit will come down. The ripple effects of this crusade will be felt all over the world.

“No man has invented water but no one can live without water. We can’t live without the gospel, the gospel is eternal and can never be invalid. The gospel is true today Because it was true at the beginning.”

The 77 year old added that he chose Nigeria because of its huge population, saying that he could smell harvest of souls beginning from Wednesday.

Chairman, Central Working Committee of the Bonnke Farewell Crusade, Apostle Alexander Bamgbola said the nation was glad that Bonnke chose Nigeria for his last crusade in Africa.

“We believe that if there is any darkness still remaining in Africa, after this crusade, such darkness will vanish. Bonnke arrived on Sunday and we can feel the mighty presence of God in this land. We believe that millions of people will receive Christ,” he said.

The crusade which holds behind Sparklight Estate, opposite OPIC, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, begins on Wednesday and ends Sunday.

400,000 Converts Recorded at Nick Vujicic’s Crusade

Famous evangelist Nick Vujicic said his team witnessed 400,000 people repent for their sins and choose to follow Jesus Christ at a recent event in Ukraine. That was the largest response that the Life Without Limbs ministry has seen, the Christian Post says.

“The biggest event that our team at Life Without Limbs has seen and maybe the largest event ever in Europe – 800,000 people in the streets of Kyiv Ukraine! Thank you God,” Vujicic wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.

“400,000 repented of their sins and began their spiritual journey with Jesus – Now LWL celebrates the witness of 1 million decisions to walk with and trust God in everything face to face,” he added.

Nick Vujicic, who was born with no arms and no legs, has inspired millions around the world through his ministry, and has gone on numerous world tours inviting people to follow Christ.

The evangelist also made a stop in Russia during his most recent trip, where he stayed for 40 hours.

“Unfortunately I wasn’t able to meet the President this trip but we continue to plant seeds of love and hope across this country until some unique doors open to share – thank you for your support,” he wrote in an update.

Protestant Christians have held several large events in Ukraine. In September, over 500,000 of them took to the streets in Kiev to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation.

Sergey Rakhuba with Mission Eurasia said at the time that the Ukrainian Church has not allowed the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine to slow it down.

“Many traveled from all four provinces there just to be a part of that celebration, to thank God for the freedom to worship, to thank God for the freedom to preach the Gospel in their country, and to celebrate God’s faithfulness,” Rakhuba told Mission Network News at the time.

“It was so exciting to see on the screen of my computer where I was watching young people with so much joy. They glorify God in the midst of their capital. This was the same place where they were protesting just a few years ago fighting for their freedom. But also this is the place where many years ago, communists would force people to demonstrate and propagate socialism, atheism, communism, and other ‘isms’ in their country.”

Nick Vujicic visited Ukraine and other Eastern European nations on his European tour there last year as well.

In one video, he talked about meeting Borut Pahor, the president of Slovenia:

“I just finished a meeting with the president of Slovenia, it was a wonderful encouragement and an enriching time. Tomorrow I will be speaking in front of students here in Slovenia, so please pray for us, and thank you for your love, prayers, and support,” the evangelist said then.

Reinhard Bonnke to Hold Farewell Crusade in Lagos

German Pentecostal Evangelist, Reinhard Bonnke, is set to return to Nigeria for a five-day crusade and a three-day multi-purpose ministers’ fire conference on what his team, Christ for All Nations (CFAN), says will rescue the country from spiritual pollution and socio-political corruption.

CFaN officials, led by its African Director, John Darku, expect more than 10 million people across Africa at the crusade billed to hold at the large expanse of land close to Sparklight Estate, diagonally opposite OPIC Plaza, Isheri Osun, Lagos/Ibadan Expressway in November.

Although the Lagos outing will be Bonnke’s farewell international crusade, CFaN will continue to carry on with its global evangelism project.

Darku said the CfaN anticipates conversion of many souls to Christ as Bonnke delivers his farewell message a crowd of worshipers in Nigeria.

“One of the highlights of the crusade will be a Passing The Burning Torch Conference for leaders and church workers. Bonnke is believing God for many thousands of pastors and evangelists from around the globe to be inspired to evangelism,” h said.

Darku told journalists that the crusade promises to be the best of its kind just as he hinted of plans to recruit more than 500,000 counselors, 200,000 intercessors, a choir of over 23,000 and a security force of over 10,000.

Reinhard Bonnke Plans Farewell Crusade in Nigeria

Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, founder of Christ for all Nations (CFaN) will return to Nigeria for his final African Gospel Crusade in November, 2017. While certainly not CFaN’s final African crusade, Evangelist Bonnke’s return could inspire another global attendance as that of the Lagos, Nigeria Millenium Crusade in 2000, CFaN’s largest crusade to-date.

During the Lagos Millennium Crusade in 2000, over the course of 5 nights, 6 million attended and 3.4 million decisions for Christ were made. In November 2017, CFaN anticipates many decisions for Christ in response to Reinhard Bonnke’s farewell message. One of the highlights of this amazing crusade will be during the day sessions, to have a PASSING THE BURNING TORCH Conference for leaders and all kind of Church-workers. Evangelist Bonnke is believing for many thousands of pastors and evangelists from around from around the globe to be inspired to evangelism.

John Darku, CFaN’s African Director shared: “This crusade will be like none we have seen before. Currently we plan to recruit 500,000 counselors, 200,000 intercessors, a choir of over 23,000 and a security force of over 10,000. There is great excitement from all the churches in the country, and we are expecting a spectacular harvest of people coming to Christ.”

In the coming months, CfaN will release information for people who would like to travel and become part of this remarkable journey and celebration. The current population of Lagos, Nigeria is over 20 million people. The potential magnitude of this crusade is breathtaking to consider.

Lead-Evangelist of CfaN and successor to world renowned Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, Daniel Kolenda speaks from his heart about this monumental event: “I’m thrilled to join with Reinhard in this vision, and know that the results of this crusade will be farther-reaching and of even greater consequence than we can even imagine.”

Ever since God gave Evangelist Bonnke a vision for a blood-washed Africa—a continent washed in the blood of Jesus Christ—over 40 years ago, he has been filled with a burning commitment to win the continent for Jesus. Evangelist Bonnke has said,

“Whether I am eating or drinking, awake or asleep, the vision is ever-present. It never leaves me.” Since then, he and the CfaN team have organized events in Africa that have grown from humble handfuls of attendees to the winning of over 76 million registered decisions for Christ in Africa since 1987.

Today, with enormous gratitude for what he has achieved in Africa through God alone, Evangelist Bonnke shares:

“The Lord spoke to me, that I should go back for one more crusade in Africa. I want not only to see a gigantic harvest of souls, but TO PASS MY BURNING TORCH to this generation. Recently, I traveled to Lagos, Nigeria to meet with the spiritual leadership there and they gave their unanimous support. I believe God is going to do something I have never seen before.”

Peter Vandenberg, Executive Vice President of CfaN, has worked alongside with Reinhard Bonnke for over thirty five years, preaching to more than 2.5 million delegates in worldwide CfaN conferences. As he looks back on where they began, he added this reflection leading up to Evangelist Bonnke’s Farewell Crusade:

“Millions in Africa now know the Holy Spirit, thanks to one man’s incredible commitment to a singular God-given vision, and to his forming of a longstanding organization and formidable team of anointed future leadership around that vision. This November, Evangelist Bonnke will enter and leave Africa possibly for the last time, bidding a bittersweet farewell to a continent and people who he very much loves and have been the center of his life’s mission.”
